1. Uh I just use a skillet or you could get a george forman or somehting like that also
2. My favorite is the Cuisinart Griddler.....mult.purpose..would not be without it now that I have it.
3. The secret to a great grilled sandwiches isn't a fancy appliance, it's real, honest-to-goodness butter! My favorite way to make grilled cheese is to cook one sandwich at a time in a heated 8" teflon fry pan. I melt butter put the sandwich in the pan then lift it, put in another pat of butter and turn the sandwich to cook on the other side. My 12-year-old neighbor thinks these are to die for as his mother doesn't cook with butter! If you want a fancy pressed Italian sandwich, simply put a small plate on top and weight it down with a heavy can of tomatoes. Honestly, save your money for the ingredients.
4. I too have a Cuisinart Griddler.........much better than a Forman Grill, as the lid pivots to accommodate sandwiches to be grilled (think: paninis). The pivoting action prevents the sandwich from getting "squished" at one end and raw at the other......I use mine twice a week, and I've had it over a year....it can also flip all the way open to do grilled chops, steaks, and the inserts come out for easy cleaning....you can also use it as a griddle, for pancakes and such.....At about $100, it's well worth the money.....Enjoy!! 5. Get something like a george forman. It is so multi purpose and easy to clean. Not to mention healthy. I LOVE mine
6. I have a Presto "little griddle" it is 9" x 12" works fine for me,,, I am single I bought it online 8 - 10 years ago.. ???
