Best Panini Grill

Has anyone ever tried using a George Foreman grill as a panini press? Did it work?

1. it works fairly well but you have to really watch it
2. Yep. And it works well for a lot of other things like frying sliced potatoes.
3. The groves are too deep. The GF grill does other things really well but, I would just avoid it for sandwiches.
4. it works great for sandwich's. i prop mine up so that it sit flat on the counter. i put the lower end on my cutting board and then its level
