Best Panini Grill

Any ideas on where to find a bread slicer/cutter on-line for home use?

I just got the Cuisinart Griddler Panini press and really would like to make something using fresh bread but it's always SO hard to cut just part of a loaf and to cut it nicely. Any ideas on where I could find something that might help me be able to nicely cut just part of a loaf?

  1. you could always use an electric knife, as sold on this here webpage: http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-74250-Carve-Electric/dp/B00004X12T i've seen bread slicers in bakeries and it just seems like they just have a bunch of saw blades in a row with some kind of belt to move the bread up and down and through them. you may not get the uniformity they get with the electric knife, but if you're really good at estimating you'll get close. they're also good at thanksgiving and christmas time for carving up big honking slabs of meat or poultry. if you really want uniformity with your bread, you could always go the route of the food slicer (pretty much a home version of the machines they use in delis to slice up meat and cheese), as sold here: http://www.amazon.com/Rival-1042W-Electric-Slicer-White/dp/B00006IV0X (sorry i keep using amazon, it's just convenience. you should by all means do your own comparison shopping and find a product right for you). the review for it by "pattie s. macduffie" is particularly positive as far as slicing bread goes. it sounds like she thinks it's the bees knees. hope this helped.
