what do you bring for lunch?
i work at my college and the food in the caf is noooot the greatest. lol i bring my lunch sometimes when i am broke and i was wondering if anyone has any good ideas for lunch. i usually just make different sandwiches...or i buy frozen dinner things. most of them do NOT come out like the picture on the box. however i was pleased with the red baron paninis. yum! and no i am not worried about calories or fat or whatever. i really don't care. lol so whatever idead you can throw out at me- please do!

- i bring 100 calories packs, pretzles, juice or gatoride or prople or h2o and mabe somtimes a brownie
- Try getting uncooked pasta, you get it in sachets with all the herb and sauce ready made. You can just boil it the night before, and take it in the next day. The great thing is that it usually tastes great cold as well, so no need to worry about re-heating :D
- luchables are good you always buy subs also . I make mine own little pizzas with a can of biscuits and pizza sauce.
- microwavable dinners (lasagna, chicken, pizza) or sandwhiches (turkey, cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomatoe on a roll) with chips and juice, salads (fresh greens & veggies w/dressing) or leftovers and most of the time I order out.
- When i used to work i made my packed lunch of lettuce, coleslaw, cucumber brown rolls, and a apple or yogurt and a small carton of ribenia this used to tie me over until i had my supper
- I bring my lunch from home most days, I also work at a university. What I usually do is make a little extra food at dinner, and then package up in containers (Corningware has ceramic bowls with lids for the microwave so you don't have to put plastic in the micro and ingest the chemicals that are secreted in your food). Anyways i push them to the back of my fridge (it's colder there) so they stay fresher longer. and then the next week i have a choice of what to bring, and i don't have to eat the same thing i ate last night (unless i really wanted too) i also keep mini bags of popcorn and applesauce and granola bars in my desk if i forget my lunch or i'm just not that hungry that day. Here are some articles I've found to help you too. Hope this helps.
- leftovers from dinner, just heat up. wraps, chicken salad, fruit soup in a thermos
