Best Panini Grill

My 14mth old niece is coming to lunch tomorrow - any great ideas for her lunch?

I was going to make mozarella, parma, basil paninis for the adults but like to provide a healthy something for my gorgeous niece -any ideas?

  1. That age likes to feed themselves, but are not good at it! Stick to finger foods, like cut-up fruits and vegetables, and maybe some hot dogs or chicken nuggets.
  2. Give her tomato soup. It's good.
  3. hot dogs are always a hit pb and j with the crusts cut off-pretty princess sandwiches-white bread finger food-carrot sticks, apple slices, etc
  4. At 14 months my son loved pasta and veggies, he didn't care for meat much. Bread, crackers are also a good thing as well. Anything they can use their hands with but not make much of a mess!
  5. Why not the same for her, just cut up small for finger foods? I think we make a mistake with small children, giving them hotdogs and chicken nuggets, etc. It gets to the point where that is ALL they want because they weren't exposed to a variety of foods as toddlers.
  6. My son is 10 months old and he loves paninis. Just slice whatever kind of bread you are using in half (like thinner- making it two thin slices), so the sandwich won't be too thick and hard to eat. Kids love grilled cheese, giving her a grown up version will help her feel like part of the group. ♥
  7. How about a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup?
  8. hot dogs
