I want to lose 25 lbs...in a 1 month and keep it off!!?
Ok i am curretly 142lbs my goal is to weigh 120-125, I lately have been eating pretty well for breackfast i usually have a slimfast shape and a slimfast muffin bar. For lunch i have a salad with grilled chicken tomatoes lots of fruit and juice. Snack i have a apple or penut butter crackers and then for dinner i eat sometimes alfredo, or grilled panini from lean cuisine. i change up my foods for every meal so i don't get tired of it and i exercise for abouts an hour and a half of hard core cardio training. I feel like i'm not burnin as much as i should and want to lose the weight faster. Any suggestions/ Whats ur diet plan? ur advice would really help me out!!! - Go to Bangladesh for a month....you will lose in no time.
- It's impossible to lose 25 pounds in a month. Just keep up what your doing. Make sure your are eating at least 1200 calories a day otherwise you will be counter productive in meeting your goals. If you don't eat enough your fat cells will start to store more since you are starving your body. Try doing fasting cardio in the morning. That is cardio with nothing in your system. Preferrably 30-45 minutes. This will help burn more calories and keep your heart rate up through out the day. Try to throw in some light lifting. The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn. Also, try to eat 5-6 small meals a day which will help your metabolism since it will be working constantly.
- thats too much weight to lose in a month.You would have to eat a lot less than what your eating now.Maybe if u worked out for 3 hours a day it could happen...go on a strict diet atkins/weight watchers/ south beach and maybe that will do it

- Losing 25lbs in one month is extremely dangerous since over 90% of that weight loss would be body fluids. Body fat burns off very slowly since we are constantly taking in carbohydrate to stay energize. The best solution is start by making your body a healthy body. - The problem is that you should only be losing at most 2-3 lbs a week. Anything more is unhealthy. Although you may not care about that right now if you do start to lose weight very rapidly you'll be far more like to put that weight right back on once you stop your diet and stop exercising so much. 25 lbs in a month will be impossible, don't have such extreme goals, how about like 10 lbs this month, that's far more realistic, obtainable, and will be easily managed. Weight loss isn't instant if you're doing it right it should take a while for you to reach your target weight.
- You will never do it. To lose 25 pounds in a month (let's say 30 days) you will need to burn about 3,000 calories a day. So let's say you eat about 1500 calories a day right now. You will need to burn a total of 4500 calories a day to burn your daily food intake and enough fat to reach your goal. That is probably impossible and definately unhealthy. So you might want to change your goal a little. It takes about 3500 for every pound of weight.
- I do relatively low carb..not eliminating carbs, but just not eating a lot of overly processed white foods. It seems like you are eating a lot of carbs. A lot of fruit juice has a ton of calories! - it appears that you are eating great. your goal is just unrealistic. realistically you can expect to lost 1-2 lbs per week. so instead of setting a monthly goal, you should have your goal be a 90 day goal. i also dont think that you need to do an hour and a half of cario. that is too much. 45 minutes to an hour is plenty. just revise your goal, keep eating right, and you will lose your 25 lbs.
- The fruit and fruit juice should be limited to only 2 or 3 servings a day. Slimfast and those other "diet" bars and shakes, are just a marketing ploy, and if you are serious about keeping weight off, dont use them. Start your day with 4 oz of lean protein, and low carb(and low sugar) high fiber cereal (like oatmeal),,,, eat small portions 5-6 times a day, no more then 4 oz of lean protein 4x day, and 2-3 the others snack times... with your fruit or by itself..... dont eat much bread or sugar of any kind.... no pop, fill up the rest of your meals with fresh veggies (1-2 cups each meal) and a small potato or sweet potato with lunch or dinner. Keep working out, drink about 100 oz of water in a day..... I followed this, with very low sodium, and lost 15 lbs the first week.,.. nothing the 2nd week, but kept loosing after that, 3-5 pounds a week, except when I cheated.,,, but then I did not gain either!!!
- Before any diet I always suggest consulting a Doctor. Although it's possible to lose that much weight in this amount of time you are not currently fat enough to try this. Should you attempt doing this you will either end up in the Hospital or Balloon up and add 20 pounds more then your current weight. The reasons, First to lose weight you must lower you caloric intake, you can go as lower as 1000 -1100 calories a day. And you will need to exercise. But in order to burn fat you must eat enought complex carbohydrates that your body can convert them into sugars to fuel your body while exercising. The slimfast is not the way to do it, it's high is sugars and fats and does not correctly convert to the needed energy for the body. Also the muffin bar, no no.. no breads, pastas, cheese or Dairy. These contains huge amounts of fats and calories. Grilled chicken is great, but no skin, no oil and no salt baked or brioled never deep fried. Fruits you can eat all you want as much as you want with the exception of canned fruits, only fresh picked or fresh frozen. Peanut butter, while peanut buter is good for you unless its al natural it cantains allot of fat and poly unsaturated fats and oils. Crackers also bad, these fall into the bread and pasta catagory and you should oly eat tehm if they are baked and low fat. Ritz, town house, and those types are no good. Lean cuisine, good, not really you are eating a huge amount of sodium and again your eating pasta. Now for the diet, also stay away from those canned soups, they are high in soduim and fat. If you read the ingredients and the calories correctly the serving size in the can is two, so you need to double the total list on the reverse to get the acutal number of calories and sugars,carbs and sodium you are ingesting. Chicken baked or broiled, skinless no salt No pastas at all Turkey, no honey roasted or mequite, just plain turkey again not skin. Fish, haddock, cod, salmon, pollack, always unbreaded and baked never deep fried. Fruits and vegetables, only fresh or frozen no canned fruits in syrups. No breads, at all or potato's no crackers you can use corn tortillas for a sanwich wrap in place of breads but don't use flour tortilla. No dairy, no milk, cheese, cream cheese, cottage cheese, Use egg substitutes, no real eggs. No sausage, bacon, or other mixed meats. Pork chops are fine if baked and only if they are never more then a 1/2" think and never bigger then the palm of you hand. Salads are fine but only 1Tbsp low fat dressing no crutons or bacon bits, chesse or eggs. You can use chunks of chicken, turkey or fish for meats on them and lots of tomato's,carrots, cabbage. Breakfast meal should not be more then 300 calories, lunch between 350-425 calories and supper 375-425 calories. You can have to snacks throughout the day one before lunch and one before supper, either less then 100 calories. Now for the exercise, you should only exercise after eating, if you don't then you body will not have the energy to burn. Consider 30 Miutes in the morning, medium paced workout consisting of cardio, with weights. And after lunch if possible again 30 minutes, this could be a combination of cardio and sit ups, squat thrusts, jump rope and running in place. And lastly evening, consider at least an hour, this should contain 15 minutes of walking briskly, 30 minutes of running, 30 minutes of weight and muscle toning and 15 minutes of inclined tread mill or walk up & down a flight of stairs. The other most important part is Water, an huge amounts of it. Avoid caffiene, POP of any kind, tea (unless it's Caffiene free) A good rule of thumb is if the ingredients list high Fructose syrup in it or Caffiene, sugar or fats, don't drink it. With all this said you maxium weight loss possiblities are about 8-10 pounds in the first month, after that it's going to get harder to lose weight because you are building muscle, and muscle weights more then fat. So as you continue you must take into considration the weight loss over the toned body and physical improvments. Should you need more help let me know I am a type 1 Diabetic an have to keep a tight hold on caloric intake Mine is (1000 caloris a day) and have to maintain a low weight while exercising daily.
